When you cry
do the tears fall down like rain
on a winter's day?
Cold and sharp? Bitter and biting?
Do they cut their own wounds on your cheeks?
When you cry
Is there ever any comfort?
Do they fill the emptiness within you
Till it's a full and raging sea?
Or do they fall like spring showers?
Washing away the cold forbidding grey?
Do they coax new growth within you,
bringing something to blossom
and start anew?
Maybe they fall like summer storms
Unleashing somthing wild and free.
Does you heart beat like thunder
and your anger flash like lightning
while emotion dances like
rain on hot dry ground?
Does it cool things off
And nurture all that is green and gowing within you?
Or maybe your tears fall like autumn
And something within you
turns brown and whithered?
Do the old things die
while you brace for harder times?
Does something die
knowing it will come back
when the time is right?
When you cry,
what season is it?

This is still one of my favorites from your book o' poetry [well... Johnny Depp notebook of DEATH] you asked me to read in Art of the 20th. I think, in all seriousness, I really enjoyed this one because it has a bit of a different tone to it than your usual work. There's nothing wrong with your usual stuff, but most of it has a more quiet, depressing mood, while this one still has that, it also has that little blip of quiet happiness to it. =) I think that really helps the piece, and your writing portfolio as a whole. :3 I also love the whole comparison to the weather and nature... this really is an overall great piece. Truly. :3

[Sorry that was such a big ramble, but I really love this one.]
