In a dream

Some night ago

I saw a monster

It stared right at me

With yellowed and blood-shot eyes

These venomous eyes

Held me transfixed

Yet I saw it all

All of it's uglyness

All of its soulessness

This creature

So twistedly flawed

That it found it's own kind of perfection

The wrongness moved about it

Like a tangible breath of poison

Each movement and motion showed it

It was so vile

It was terrifying

Yet I was not scared of it

I was scared of myself

For in truth

I stared into the depths of a mirror.
